I wanna see this movie.
‘Dear John’ Beats ‘Avatar’ at the Box Office
… as was predicted by some, but still totally caught me by surprise. For no good reason; I mean, it is almost Valentine’s Day. Anyway, it took $32 million this weekend, compared to Avatar’s $23 million. Nice!
So this is the not the first of Nicholas Sparks’s books to be made into a smash movie. ‘The Notebook’, ‘Message in a Bottle’, and ‘A Walk to Remember’ came before this one, and ‘The Last Song’ is going to come out soonish, starring Miley Cyrus. This is an author to watch! Uh, read. Check out our entire Nicholas Sparks collectionto see which tasty ebooks you’re going to have to read during Valentines season. :D
PS: Fandango’s giving away the ‘Dear John’ soundtrack for free. Along with a poster. You want it? Just read this short article, answer the question it asks, and cross your fingers. Five winners will be picked. Deadline’s Friday Feb 12 at 6pm PST!
And if you want to read an interview of Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried, read this!
